Mt. Fuji is listed in the Michelin Green Guide as three stars. In Tokyo there is also one mountain registered as three stars in the Michelin Guide. It’s Mt. TAKAO, which offers you a fresh air, beautiful scenery, historical temple, and attractive hiking opportunities.

Mt. Takao is about 600m / 2000f heigh.

It takes about 90 minutes from the center of Tokyo to its base by train and another 90 minutes from the base to the top on foot. 

In this tour we take a chair lift or cable car for the half way to the top.

On the rest way we walk, feeling the fresh air and enjoying a nice view.

If the weather permits you can see Mt. Fuji from the top of the mountain. 

After you go down the mountain, you can enjoy TAKAO gourmet on the foot like a local Soba buckwheat noodle, Japanese sweet and more. At the end, one of the highlights of this tour is waiting for you.  The ONSEN public bath is located just next to the station. After relaxing our muscle in a hot water, we will sleep in a train back to the hotel.
