7. KAMAKURA special

If you stay in Tokyo more than 3 days, KAMAKURA is very attractive place to visit. Kamakura is 60km south of Tokyo located in Kanagawa pref. Although it takes only less than one hour by train from Tokyo to Kamakura, you can breeze totally different air there.

Kamakura is surrounded by hills on three sides and the sea on the other. Walking in the nature, you can be relaxed and release yourself from tiredness of your busy trip.

Since Kamakura used to be a capital of Japan from 12 to mid 14C. and Buddhism was worshipped deeply by people during that period, there are more than 100 temples in Kamakura, most of which are located directly in the nature. We do hiking from one temple to another. In the quiet atmosphere you can have totally relaxing time there. Kamakura is a perfect excursion destination from Tokyo.
